Hello,
I have a Celestron Nexstar SE mount and they offer me a StarSense for Skywatcher mount, would it work in my Nexstar mount?
Thank you
Paul

I'm not sure. Maybe it will. The Skywatcher version has an extra interface box which translates commands from the Celestron handset to the Skywatcher mount,

Thanks for your answers, today someone sent me an email that said; "The StarSense package for SkyWatcher is actually the standard Celestron StarSense package with the addition of an interface box that is only required for a SkyWatcher mount. So yes, you can use that package but you would simply not use the SkyWatcher interface box."

Best regards

Would you consider selling the interface box for the skywatcher mount if you don't need it?

Is the interface box just providing more ports because a Celestron Mount has 1/2 extra sockets compare to a Skywatcher?

The interface box supplied with the Skywatcher version translates the commands between the Nexstar handset and the Skywatcher mcb. The two units would otherwise be incompatible.
