Finally a transit!

And even double, to increase my happiness Ganymede and Europe gave a show in the skies of Brazil. Otherwise, it was because of the large number of clouds, which forced me to make the catches in the few loopholes in order to obtain these images. To end the suffering, after 5:30 the metro train starts to pass every 5 minutes 100 meters from my house.

Couple of years ago, was doing a presentation for a primary school, grade 3-4, 7-9yo's

The students were observing Jupiter through my 10" Dob, and been manual, every couple of minutes had to check Jupiter, was still centered in the eyepiece

We spotted a blip appear on top of Jupiter

Sang out to one of my other club members

Come and check this out

We watch a moon Europe rise behind Jupiter

Students put their mobile devices to eyepiece to image

Amazing how those shadows turn the disc of Jupiter into a sphere.

It is very interesting to notice how Ganymede's shadow is oval due to the curvature near the pole, which is no longer the case with Europe.
