After having just bought a second hand Quark here on the Forum I have just taken my first image of the Sun.

I have alot of banding which I beleive can be avoided by using a tilt adjuster.

Good stuff, welcome to solar imaging, which camera are you using, you could try using a cheap .5x focal reducer, helps when the seeing isn't great and alters the focus point so may help with Newton Rings.
