Do they exist? Bahnitov masks for camera lenses?

Hello

More of a lens question than a camera one. Can anyone make me or point me in the direction of a bahnitov mask for my Canon lens? Its the Canon 200 mm f2.8 USM mark 1 version with the lens hood built in. I`m really struggling getting good focus even with live view on my camera.

Alternatively, you could make a simple Y-mask to go over the lens (this is what I use). It produces the same pattern and is used in exactly the same way, but the image is brighter than a bahtinov, because more light gets through.

If you have a 3D printer, there are plenty of designs on Thingiverse….

Or you can make one with an OHP transparency sheet, using one of the on-line design tools and an inkjet printer.  I made one for my Canon 200 mm lens, mounting it on a bit of thick card with a suitably sized circle cut out to fit over the lens hood.

I made a Lord Y mask out of card for a lens, works fine.
