I will not bother binning the RGB next time.

Yes i agree with Wim.A lovely lot of detail there,and nicely framed,just a little too sharp for my liking.But still a very good image.

An easy way to correct a blotchy background:

Extract luminance from the image or create a copy and turn it to b/w.

Stretch that copy very hard and apply it as a mask to the original, revealing the background and protecting the stars and galaxies.

Desaturate the original colour image.

There are better, more elaborate ways, but this is easy and fast.
