Modified DSLR Issue

Hi,,

I recently bought a full spectrum modified Canon T5i Rebel 2nd hand and finally got a clear night to find out there is a smudge on all of my images. I've taken it into Jessops to have a look and they have told me the sensor is clean and they can't find anything wrong... 

 

I've attached a 30sec exposure to show the smudge, to me it looks like a finger print, I've messaged the person I bought it from but have had no reply.

 

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a bright star close to the frame,have you tried a darker part of sky to image,could be lens flair.

When you say smudge, do you mean the pink area to the bottom left of the image.  It could well be light getting into the viewfinder.  Have you blocked off the part that you would look through on the back of the camera?

AS smr has mentioned more detail required ref your equipment and set up.

does look like flairing but again detail of equipment will help others determine this for sure.

The pink coming in from the left, I've had this and in my case it was the fact that I had left the back view screen on, once I turned the screen off I had no more issues with pink glow creeping in.

Its ampglow. I have a 450d and when I shot photos after using a liveview for a long time I get this. Thats becouse the chip gets hot.

Disable live view after focusing and take an image. This should go away

If amp glow then it will show up with the lenscap on. Try another exposure with the cap on. Looks a bit severe for 30s exposure
