Not enough ram

Recommended Posts

I took some images of Cygnus using my canon 750D and 18 -55mm lens at 18 mm piggybacked on my scope ( 10 images in total) then did the darks, bias and flats. Ran it all through deep sky stacker no problems so far. the final image was then autosave as a tiff file (578mb in size). I then went to open the file in the photoshop cc 2018 only to have a message come up saying could not apply the workspace not enough memory (ram). The trouble is I have 8gb ram (available 7403mb) and photoshop is set to 6292 mb (85%). any help would be helpful.

How do I increase RAM in Photoshop?
You can tweak scratch disk settings in the Preferences > Scratch Disks section.
  1. Choose Edit > Preferences > Scratch Disks (Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences > Scratch Disks (Mac OS).
  2. To enable or disable a scratch disk, select or deselect the Active check box. ...
  3. Click OK.
  • To apply the changes, restart Photoshop

hope this may solve your problem
