I try to overlap minimally but using a easily recogniseable feature as this makes stitching in iMerge easier, also makes it easier to 'visualise' where you are in the overall picture.

On this one I tried to work Up then down from the terminator to the limb. Basically, I set the gain on the brightest part of the image around the limb then let the terminator be defined by this.

I usually find that the middle sections are where the missing areas usually are so I normally do some extra captures across and around the middle just in case...didn't do it this time though :undecided:
