laudropb
A another quiet Sun. One prom on the W limb. Small but quite a bright double spike. Added a quick sketch as the clouds rolled in. Hope to image in the future as I have bought a solar cam but that will have to wait until I have mastered the scope.
Sunshine
I was observing those proms just recently, Disc is so featureless, not a spec across it! can't say i've seen that before, for days now its been featureless save for the odd small complementary prom. niallk
Had a quick look earlier at the prom. Even though a pretty quiet disc, double stacking my LS50 brought out some fascinating fine detail in the surface granulation where it was contorted by I guess magnetic field patterns. laudropb
I think double stacking is another year away for me.
