Cheers @ian_bird. I plan on using the PSU with the Pegasus hub which has the built in dew controller so i'll only be able to use either a linear or a switching mode PSU.

I have settled my mind on a Linear PSU but the one FLO (Nevada PS06-8) sells is just not going to be enough Amps for what i want to use and the next available Linear PSU is 30A which starts from around £100 .... a fair jump from £35 to - £100 ... i was looking to settle at 10A - 15A and the only available option out there is Out of stock.

Am really in a pickle here where i have no means to power my gear lol good thing is that it's still cloudy.

I have one of these, absolutely brilliant, very quiet and has all the options for connection that you could imagine and is light at 2.3Kgs: -

I also have one of these that I run for for powering my laptop as this can draw quite a bit when exercising the HDD: -

Apparently these can be butchered to output 12.5 v at about 14 amps

Cheers @Jkulin, i know the switched mode PS have worked out well for so many but it only makes sense for me to go linear when powering sensitive gear.
