Shardlowcol
Hi, I want to display FWHM values on a homemade focuser handset over USB from either BYN or Metaguide. Does anyone know if these programs even output their data, and can it be obtained? I have an arduino, and access to some good programmers thankfully. drjolo
Hello, I do not know about BYN or Meatguide, however PHD2 provides TCP connection to PHD2 server and there is lot of information. I have not found actual FWHM, however you can retrieve actual star image and then calculate FWHM on it https://github.com/OpenPHDGuiding/phd2/wiki/EventMonitoring
Marci
See point19 for MetaGuide UDP broadcast info at http://www.astrogeeks.com/Bliss/MetaGuide/MetaGuide5xx.html For BYN, see https://www.otelescope.com/files/category/22-api-amp-documentation/
Shardlowcol
Thanks for the answers. MetaGuide seems to have more about it. I know that BYN can't even focus my camera (annoying the Nikon won't allow them to do this), so it should be no surprise that FWHM is probably not going to be output. I've some reading to do....
