Help required

Can anyone tell me how the aluminium body of the tube attaches to the focusser collar ? Is there some kind of paste that you put around the Threads that locks it into place ?

I just sold the Altair and it came undone as I was packing it....

It’s at the point we’re the focusser meets the tube body... it looks like it should be bonded on, the tube has a very thin looking thread. I did show the guy that bought it and he wasn’t over bothered. But I said I would find out.

It’s like the main scope tube came away from where it attaches to the focuser collar.

110mm refractor.

its just threaded. do it up hand tight it will be fine. charl.
