The Sun in Ha 31.1.2017

Nice sunny day so I have just taken out the PST + DS. There is a nice filament (NE) at the moment plus some plage around new sunspot AR2697. Also some proms at around  (SE).

Okay I have seen more activity but it nice to view the Sun in Ha and get some action.

Good to hear someone is getting some sunshine. I managed a very brief peek yesterday, but all is grey again.

Loads of sunshine here but the Sun is just a tad low still for the obsy wall.  Another two weeks then out comes the solar gear for 2018.  I am hoping to double stack the QUARK I obtained 2nd hand with the Lunt 60?

Hopefully i'll have my 1st Ha session tomorrow. My Quark arrived yesterday. It was cloudy. Today was a mixture of everything: cloud,Sun,rain,sleet,snow,wind and sub-zero temps.

Ive seen GONG mentioned a lot whilst reading through Ha threads last night. What is it (i guess its a notification service). Where can i find it?. I dont want to sit outside all day every day waiting for something in Ha to happen.

Although, i probably will do so for the first couple of clear days........unless it clashes with the 6 Nations rugby.
