but there is a catch I'm shooting through thin cloud so the last shot was a "add your own word" to stax, loads of proms if ye get the chance, the one on the oncoming limb is very nice on the live view.

Nice captures. Rain all day here, alas. Did get a quick look at the sun through haze with the Coronado SolarMax-II 60mm but although I did see a nice filament in the north-east, and the small area of plage associated with the new AR, no proms were evident either in single or double stack mode

Wow!  There is a lot more activity around the limb than I thought.  Thanks for the nice shares, Charl.

Now that they've named that little sun spot (2697), I may try to shoot it and the other proms you posted above.  It's still dark here in the US and I've been watching the lunar eclipse.  If everything "holds together over the next six hours, I'll get the scope to work.
