double WOW. fantastic skys here in south wales, AR2674 is looking mighty, seeing is as good as it gets.

theres some nice mid size proms around the limb, all I can see of AR2672 is a bright area.

if you have the time and skys you have to have a look, it amazing today.

Beautiful 'tornado' like prominence which is evolving pretty quickly to my eyes

Just been out with the eclipse glasses and it is possible to just make out naked eye the separation between the two large AR's. Great show all-round even for those with out expensive kit.

...and it's gone! The angle relative to the limb went from acute to much nearer perpendicular, then an outer part of it detached... I went away for 2 mins - and it has disappeared now!

So dynamic!

Yes - fantastic shots Charl as always .

Reluctantly, I've to pack up now. This was just my 3rd outing with my Lunt 50: I'm delighted with it.  I'm very lucky to get good weather, plus an active sun, all coinciding with some time off work!

Lovely sketches Nick   - you inspired me to have a quick go It really is a good way to focus carefully on what you are seeing.  Mine look like they were done by a 3 yr old, but it was a good exercise for me!  Will keep trying.

dont let a bit of cloud put you off Wookie, you can still get some nice views though the thinner bits, i image with worse. charl.

I agree with Charl. I'd get out as the larger AR are well worth it even through thin cloud.
