New AR very active in Ha 9.42am 20/8/17

I've been observing this quite a bit this morning and it has let off three flares, one large and two smaller in an hour or so.

In White Light I can see the main 'spot' plus a thin line as it extends further up the limb. In Ha this line is a bright region where the flares are coming from. Well worth checking out.

thanks Stu, sounds amazing mate, I got the shortest glimce in WL at around 8am, but the cloud here is relentless so ive packed it in for the day. looks a nice size, keep us updated. thanks, charl.

Hi Stu, sounds good and a nice first thing start to the day.

Here in Cornwall on holiday and it's clouded out and raining, so no go here.

Unfortunately we're all clouded out in Bridport where I am today so I've got no chance of seeing anything ?. Nice to know what's going on up there though.

I had issues with thin cloud do i didnt take my normal camera image, but heres a quick n dirty Ha roughly the same time with my iphone on a solarscope50, from scarborough.  

Ps night before last at 2am was spectacularly clear, when i woke up coughing.
