No real gaps in the "White cloud" again. But chopped out
the worst, for a stack of about 50 events! For FUN found I
could do both a *positive* disk and the proms in one go! :p
Used "Sawtooth" Tone Curve! (The wonders of ImPPG...)

Shame really - A fair bit of interest in the early afternoon? ;)

Hoping for better things tomorrow! (Eh, Readers) :)

I recently discovered curves and my proms come alive! Good pic! Unreal some of the pics I get through clouds. Makes for dimmer image but usually seems more steady.

Great, Tony! I keep on discovering all kinds of things. :p
Bit too much "Cirrus" even for my "Cloud Penetrating"
H-A "radar". But it seems to be improving slowly now...

<begin wibble>

I usually take a second (much increased) exposure for prominences. But I
am slightly revising my thinking now. Particularly now I use AS!2 & ImPPG.

For FULL disks anyway, I sometimes have problems getting AS!2 to "lock"
onto all the (peripheral) proms when I add automatic alignment points...
Since there seems to be sufficient Dynamic Range on the Camera to get a
reasonable showing of prominences from "Disk" exposures (via ImPPG!)
maybe I'll use a more "compromise" exposure with some remaining disk
features to help AS!2 "lock on" to the entire SUN? :)

It still seems quite reasonable to adjust the exposure on Barlowed Proms
though? Maybe even try combining / masking multiple exposures to avoid
burn-out -- like folks use re. exposures of the Great Orion Nebula. ;)

So many possibilities... Only ONE lifetime! :D
