New (Old Style?) Cam arrived at this afternoon, so
dashed out to catch the surprising gap in clouds!

Herewith Lunt50 plus Imaging Source 41AU02.AS

And <drum roll> NO Newton's Rings! (Phew!) :D

No "Recliner Chair" for my old age, I guess, but...

Thanks Folks! :)

No Flats needed after all, Dave. The Cam screwed on directly
to the diagonal and, as luck would have it (for a change!), the
"sweet spot" was already fairly central and focus easily found! ;)

Dosh aside, I certainly feel that this camera is more suited to
the *specific* purpose than the ZWO120MM, so I'm happy!
No NRs. I lose some resolution, but get a bigger chip for WL
with my Altair Astro 66mm f/400 - Without the 2x1 mosaic!!! :p

May indeed have another go tomorrow... Is the *latter* true
in reality?!? Can I somehow fit a Barlow in THIS small space?
This amount of good fortune cannot last... lol! :D

Looks like a perfect combo. I'm kind of wishing so had bought a 50 with a dmk41. With the lunt 60 cams seem limited. Then there seems to be more sweet spot issues too with the 60 vs the 50. Judging from full disk images I've seen. I could be wrong. I'm looking into the 174 but would rather have the dmk51 I think. I don't know. You guys keep those awesome images coming help me make up my mind!

Problem with the DMK series is that they are becoming dated.....

The frames rates are limited and low compared with the current offerings.

(On the DMK 51 running on a new "hot" computer with USB3 ports - the frame rate is reduced by 50% - you're lucky to get a steady 10 fps. I can get >100 fps with the ASI 174!!!!)
