Plans for tonight

Recommended Posts

The sun has not quite set here in the Midwest, but after seeing others posts about tonight's sky makes me pretty excited.

I will be observing all the normal stuff like the moon and Venus, but I will also observe an Iridium flare shining at mag -0.7 and the Hubble space telescope at mag 2.5. Tonight is going to be special :)

didn't know you could see Hubble, thought it was too far away - there's my something new for the day ?

There is a download from the net I believe it is called Heavens Above, once you enter your details it will tell you all the major objects and when you can see them.

looks like Hubble's orbit doesn't allow it to be viewed from the UK :(
