August 12th - H Alpha - Detached Prominence

Managed some snatches of blue early on, hoping for better views later.  There are around half a dozen prominences, with a detached element in the NE and the largest in the SE.  Single frames taken with Lunt 60 DS and Olympus E-M10 at 500 asa.  The first at 7.19 am on 1/80 sec and the second/third at 7.18 am on 1/2 sec.

Thanks for the heads up on the detached prom Paul. I was only doing spots today but now doing an animation of this one.

Great images Paul - you've given me an idea. 

One I took the other day had a detached prom but it only shows with huge stretching.

I'll have a look and see having seen what you have produced.
