Well its almost a year since I used my Nag 3-6mm zoom, which I only use in the telementor and I confess I'm struggling to find a reason to keep it....I know a certain member on here who has bought and sold this ep at least twice!!!

I've been though a couple of NZ 3-6's but I have to say that I'm very fond of the NZ 2-4 that I currently have. Mind you I have some scopes with quite short focal lengths - I don't think I've ever used the NZ 2-4 in the 12" dob :icon_scratch:

Things shoot across a 50 degree FoV pretty quickly at 400x-800x ! :undecided:

Does this mean you don't use the Telementor often, either? Would you miss having the Zoom if you had another Zeiss Night?

:happy11:

My 3-6 Zoom has become surplus in the technical sense, but it has brought me such good luck that I'll be keeping it. It's not exactly taking up room in the case that I need for anything else, anyway...

:rolleyes2:

Maybe it is time that your nagler zoom finds a new owner then! Eventually, it is better if it gets used rather than staying inside a case hoping to receive some light from space.

I am selling a few TVs soon too..  bad time for a 15% discount for us.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you planning on selling and considering Piero?

Perhaps when periodically, you have and use more than one or several scopes, you might get into a mindset that dictates a range of eyepieces that will become applicable within a greater or lesser degree for use with each varied focal length and aperture.  In this regard, when investing in high quality and high cost eyepieces, aiming to get the widest possible use may make sense. Yet of course in pursuit of this equation, can in itself become an expensive quest and conundrum and there may always be one or two specific or specialised eyepieces retained in the collection for particular tasks (in my case my two plossl horsehead hunters that I keep hanging onto).  All part of the journey I suppose.

No problem at all! :) I sent you a PM so that Calvin's thread is not hijacked.
