It's a really tight fit on the APS-C sensor at perigee, isn't it? :)

You're not wrong there.

Had a bit of trouble lining it up as I was doing it by hand I couldn't quite get the tension right in the clutches of the Az4.

I used to do it with my 127 Mak on the EQ3-2.  Even then there's some drift and you have sit over it and watch how the image is moving across the frame to kick it back a few pixels every so often because there's so little room for error.
