Ha disc mosaics colour & mono Aug 12th

For some reason autostitch could not assemble the mono disc so had to use imerge which never gives a good result for me.

The colour disc assembled fine in autostitch apart from me missing a bit darn it!

Nice discs Stuart, if I get a little bit like that missing I cheat and copy an adjacent bit in PS.

You have done better mosaics than I normally mange Stuart always a shame when there is a small chunk missing.

Like Dave said! I do this a lot for my hubby I'm quite an expert a great couple though, I am sure you could blend the quarter a bit in Photoshop too which would lessen it although when enlarged it is less noticeable bit of a damp today.

Some very good detail there. Odd that AutoStitch didn't get things right. I occasionally have that too, and tend to fall back on MS-ICE which tends to give smoother results that I have ever managed to get out of imerge. It might be worth a try (MS-ICE is free, after all). The latest version I downloaded does a FAR better job on solar H-alpha than the old

Thanks for the comments! I've sewn up pacman's mouth with a piece from the opposite limb though its rather crude

Michael I can't for the life of me get ICE to work with anything. The best I can get is half a disc.
