Observing Meet - Aug. 2015

It was pretty clear, there was a blanket of cloud to the west of us but it stayed there all night, really enjoyed it even though all my best laid plans went belly up. It was good to meet up and put faces to names

5 of us got out last night , bit cold in the early part , better when the wind dropped , sky ok ,few cars in and out to hack us off , and nice to get out for an hour or 2

Turned out to be a good start for our first observing meet since the return of the dark nights once again.  About 10 miles into my 30+ mile trip, I could see a break in the clouds off in the distance  ; it was like a knife edge where clear and solid sky met, and the dark cloud bank held back through the night.  Yeah, a good night out and worth the long drive.

Was nice to catch up, and also meet some new observers.  Looking forward to the next observing session, and hope more fellow observers will be able to attend.
