Stellarium 0.13.3 is a stable version that introduces some new features and closes 33 bug and wishlist reports. A lot of work has been done on adding few new DSO catalogs: Barnard (B), Van den Bergh (VdB), Sharpless (Sh 2), H-α emission regions in the Southern Milky Way (RCW), Lynds' Catalogue of Bright Nebulae (LBN), Lynds' Catalogue of Dark Nebulae (LDN), Collinder (Cr) and Melotte (Mel). In addition, two new plugins are available. One of them introduces an exclusive and very nice feature - 3D landscapes.

A huge thanks to the people who helped us a lot by reporting bugs!

We updated the configuration file and the Solar System file, so if you have an existing Stellarium installation, we strongly recommend to reset the settings after you install the new version (in the Installer).

Downloaded and installed - thank you

I notice I still get that message about 'no disk in drive something-or-other' that I have to click cancel several times to get through. Have I installed it wrong?

Hi Richard,

Thats a new one on me, never had that message. If it works, I would not worry about it! If it does not work drop me a pm with

1. Pc/laptop spec

2. OS version

Thank you.

I feel the need to apologise in advance, but...

A little disappointing to see that according to the Sourceforge page it only has 4.9 stars. I was rather hoping for more

Got it. On both work (Naughty!) and home computers. Had to update the Nvidia drivers on my works computer as they were OpenGL 1.2 or summat which Stellarium didn't like. No probs now.

I too had the "No Disk" error but it appears to have gone away with the latest install.

The only "bug" I have is the locations database which thinks Ruislip (Where I live) has Bortle 5 skies. If only!  Bortle 8 would be optimistic   .

  • 1 month later...

I too had the "No Disk" error but it appears to have gone away with the latest install.

I suspect that I have a start up file from the previous install left hanging around somewhere

Trouble is, I get the minor irritation on start up, then get lost in the delight and wonder of Stellarium and forget to sort the problem out

Richard

@jef,  now been expanded to 7 stars. Either that or your screen needs cleaning  .

@RLWP - Please check for any remnants of ssystem.ini files delete & retry.
