Jupiter through 4"

Thought I'd share a sketch of Jupiter made while viewing through a Takahashi FC 100 DC at X225.

Nice detail, glad that you spotted the tears or lighter regions in the belts, thought that I was seeing things !

4" aperture certainly gives good contrast,

Gorgeously detailed sketch - superb!

I know nothing about Takahashi telescopes, but blimey...aperture is obviously *not* always king!

A lovely instructive example of how to record by hand. I've a long way to go in that regard, but the journey sure will be fun

Wow - I also have a 4" Tak but have not seen that much detail - good catch
