Their website seems to suggest the 2 and 3 October 2015 are the dates at Stoneleigh Park.

I wonder why they have opted for a date much later in the year? I rather enjoyed the summer slot.

Yeh I agree, the summer was nice. As long as the dealer stands are doing a few deals I don't mind. Perfect time to select a nice new scope me thinks!

Is the ias much different from astrofest? Only done the latter once which was last year and I didn't have a lot of time.

I have been going to Astrofest for years and will be going again next month. I have also attended IAS since it started and to be honest I much prefer it. The only downside to IAS was the venue for the lectures but perhaps a move to Stoneleigh will resolve that.

Finally the summer event was great because it had a great display of solar scopes to look through. I only hope that the same opportunity will exist with the October date.

Thanks Mark, it sounds good, having the solar scopes would be an interesting part too. It's also easier to get too.
