RichM63
This hardly qualifies as Lunar Imaging, but why can't the night sky be as clear as this?Taken at Midday 16/111/80th, f22, ISO200, 300mm, manual.

Pete Presland
i would say it exactly qualifies for Lunar imaging, very nicely captured as well! a clear sky is a clear sky!
D4N
I think most of my lunar pics are daytime ones, I guess at night I'm normally set up for long exposure but in the day it will be solar and I will slew to the moon if it's up and do that too. RichM63
I've not yet plucked up the courage to have a go at Solar work, even though I have a full apperture filter for the ST80.Thanks for the kind words. The 'hardly qualifies' came from the fact that there was no real work involved. Just a single frame, no avi, no stacking, no processing, etc.But boy, the sky was clear.
D4N
If I didn't do solar my kit would sit idle most of the year. Being so dynamic it's also very rewarding, you will often find no one else has imaged the sun just like you did and never will as the spots will have moved on.
