Someone has suggested they could be indian reproductions.. still.. they're quite eye catching!

Spectrometer was nice and shiny! However even if real.. it's unlikely to be of any real use due to the polishing/sprays that may have been used.

I like rummaging through antique shops, and always look for those magic words to show up.......

Brashear, Calver, Clark, Cooke, Fraunhofer, Mogey, and Zeiss to name a few. These days, unless you are extremely lucky, the magic words come with very high prices.

. Nope not an indian repro there at all from what I can see. The repros are very obvious. It would be nice to see what makes the scooes are.

Thats my type of shop that.

there is a second hand shop in crewe where a "old" scope was in the window..as always I call in acting the complete novice...(stop it you lot).."what sort of telescope is that mate?".

"dunno but its a quality one, good for looking at the moon"

"looks new?"

"just cleaned it"

"how much?"

"its worth £300,but i'll let it go for £200.."

at this point I touched the old scope...it was plastic
