my best solar image yet, finally getting the hang of this

decided to try using the Canon in video mode on the sun

came out pretty well as I had to find my way around Autostakker in surface mode
finished off in Registax 6 for wavelet tweaking and PS cs6 to final crop and adjust colour

500 frames, best 300 used x5 mode

Looking good, glad you are making progress.

Do you use 'Live view' to focus? I can recommend APT for Canon camera, I don't use my Canon for solar but for night time in my opinion nothing comes close, so good I even use APT for my CCD. There is a free trial and Ivo (the developer) is very helpful if you have any problems.

Looking at the image on the laptop is so much easier to nail the focus, than trying to look at the camera screen.
