That's really gorgeous! You've got star colour in there. Maybe you could process the image so the core isn't so blown-out?? Then it'll be stonking.

For the core of my M42 I just use the unstretched image straight from DSS! I didn't take different-length subs so also did two separate stretches for the nebulosity so there were three layers in all. It should be much simpler for a glob!

There are other methods, but have a bash.

Im not one for PS to be honest as its yet another load of stuff to learn so i try to stick with PI

I made a star mask inverted it then applied HDR it sorted out the core a bit

Brings out the propeller very well

Sorry, I thought you used PS. I must read properly!  That's a lot better. I want to try PI (when I can afford it) but I'm only just starting to get my head around the PS basics, so don't want to explode my brain!

Yeah information overload trying to do both, especially as they do things very differently although i completly appreciate they both have their uses.
