Very thick haze and a myriad of contrails made AS!2 refuse to play ball , so I resorted to the old manual-align , multi-stack approach in Reg 5.1 ... always nice to have a fail-safe fallback in hand ...

Very nice. AS2 always refuses to play with my subs. I think it's because the Sun drifts across the disk on my un-driven CG4.

I centre and crop in PIPP first to give it a chance , but AS!2 doesn't like my TIFFs from PIPP as individual frames so I output the frames as an AVI which it takes OK.

Strangely though if I have to tweak very slow shutter speed shots in Gimp first and then put them to PIPP the files are taken by AS!2 with no problem , it's all Greek to me this format stuff ...

I find I have to use PIPP to get an acceptable format for AS!2 or Registax and I always try to output as a AVI or tiff / PNG image

Weird. Yes, tried centring and cropping in PIPP first and outputting as an avi but I still and up with a hideously disfigured disk. Like you said, all Greek to me too.

I tried hard but the three different layers of cirrus made it impossible , just waiting for a view now so hope to get some in about 10 minutes ...
