Pelican nebula with the 130pds (SHO)

Hi,

I collected 17x900s in Ha (Astrodon 5nm) on the Pelican with the 130pds and I've used previous captures of OIII and SII with the Megrez 72

(Astrodon 3nm oiii and 5nm sii) to produce a modified Hubble palette (5x1800 oiii and 7x1800 sii).

The field of view is that of the 130pds with the SXVR-H9. So far, fairly happy with the outcome.

More details in astrobin: get.jpg

Comments welcome and thanks for looking!

cheers

Thanks for the comments!

Quick query: I have a slightly softer version in which I went a little easier with LHE (local histogram equalization) in Pixinsight, but I prefer this one as it

shows more drama.

Does the LHE look overdone?

cheers

Thanks for the feedback!

Crikey....what a stunner!

I also have the 130PDS, but may I ask which mount you use?

HEQ5, syntrek version, driven by EqMod. It handles the 130 with great ease (you can do 20-30m subs with no problem)
