Nice shot again, David That spotty disc at the moment is insane!

Not quite so lucky our way this morning. A long strip of cloud/haze was in exactly the wrong place   Though I took some shots anyway, it will be interesting to see how they come out.

Managed to grab a couple of white light avi's with the QHY5-II mono camera in between the clouds and showers. Had to use some sort of filtration to get the brightness down to something the camera could cope with so tried the Baader OIII filter I have. Also tried adding the Revelation 2x barlow but by that point cloud was coming back in and I got less than a hundred frames. Consequently that one never got processed beyond AS2 stacking. However of the three wider field avi's 2 came out pretty well and the one below processed really nicely. This was a 500 frame avi stacked in AS2, sharpened in Registax 5.1 and the stretched and false coloured in GIMP.

Regarding the GP, I was furious that out of all the sporting events this weekend in the UK we had a British winner at our own GP and not one news headline anywhere. There were plenty about Wimbledon etc etc not one of them was a British achiever OK rant over
