Once again many thanks.

Greetings Nebula I wouldn't be too jealous about our long nights. Even though the nights are long and the seeing very good it is a typical Adelaide winter ... Cold , humid , wet and overall sought of miserable. Just returned from a meeting of the astronomical society and at 11:26 PM the outside temp is 8.3C with a dew point of 6C with the RH of 87%, very very clear and cloudless sky. Milky way is almost overhead as is Scorpius and Sagittarius . Wind speed is 2 KPH .

Hi ya Hippy, Harold is out in the bushes catching mice!

Hi welcome to SGL from Pete in Bedfordshire

Greetings Pete,

Interesting to hear that you are from Bedfordshire. I am gradually reading through " The Bedford Catalogue " by Admiral William Smyth. Wonderful reading.

Very poor jokes will get you far at SGL although I'm not sure our friend Spock will be best pleased....It's just not logical ;)

We specialise in poor jokes. Trust me. These same jokes get funnier as the evening wears on.

anything to do with the coopers? or maybe west end? :D

James Squires beers are very nice. See if you can pick up a few.

Don't know about West End but Coopers is very nice. They make a good Stout. If you are ever in South Australia ask for a "Portagaf" ...

stout and Lemonade (50- 50) takes the edge off the Stout.

I was quite fond of the coopers sparkling ale way back when... not a fan of stouts. last time I was home my bro-in-law was pushing the J. squires on me but I'm a sucker for vb cans or tooheys draught on tap. That said...you can't beat English Beers :).

... Can't beat English beers ... i'm not taking the bait on that one even though I have exited, on a few occasions, the Slug and Lettuce in Harrogate feeling rather good about my self and having a few Directors Specials near the Baths.
