Hi,

Took advantage of the brief clear spell on the shortest night of the year. The stars at the edge of the image are a little iffy due to field curvature that the WO FF/FR 6 failed to correct but otherwise I am happy with this image.

WO 72 Megrez @ F4.8, QHY8, Baader UHC-s L Booster,

7X900s, stacked in DSS with full calibration frames and very simply processed in PI, tweaked in PS. HEQ5 Pro guided by PHD.

Thanks for looking.

Regards,

A.G

Thank  you all for your kind words. I have managed 1200s subs with both the QHY8 and Atik 428EXC even from my heavily light polluted location but I wouldn't dare go any longer.

Thank you and yes, I used the UHC-s for this one, sometimes the IDAS P2 works better but as a narrow band LP filter Badder does a good job at the expense of longer exposure times. I wonder what the IDAS nebula filter is like though quite expensive.
