Can someone tell me what this is used for?

Hi everyone,

I have a Moonlite crayford focuser but I don't know what type of scope it is supposed to be used on, I know it's not Newtonian as it isn't a curved plate. The black ring at the front is too big to fit my ED80. For this reason I THINK it's an SCT focuser. Just need an input. Cheers,

Cam

If it's for an SCT then the connector (the black ring bit, I guess) will have a thread inside.  By the looks of it I'd say it should be 3" internal diameter.

A guy from our society gave me it, and funnily enough it was John Wall who invented the crayford haha. He gave it me because he didn't need it and he asked if I wanted it. So I thought may aswell. Hence why I don't actually know what it's for
