Orangish star

I saw an orangish star in the Scorpio constellation. Looking at the map I have of the constellation it would appear that I managed to see Epsilon Scorpii through my scope. This was shortly after seeing Saturn for a few minutes.

congratulations on your observation, there are many coloured stars you can observe through the year. one of my favourite is the garnet star in cepheus.

They are some wonderfully different coloured stars out there.

My personal favorate is Albero in Cygnus which is actually a double star system, one golden yellow and the other blue/green in colour. Looks fabulous through even a small scope

Constellation is Scorpius, Scorpio is an astrological sign, be careful or you'll reap the wrath of the pedants
