M81 up close and personal

Here's another one from last nights session.

M81 close in.

Could have done with a bit longer exposure for the outer arms, but a reasonable result.

12" LX200R + f/3.3 FR - SXVF-H9C 11x300 sec subs, processed and combined in AA4.

Thanks for your kind comments guys.

I intend to have another 'crack' at this one, but give it a lot more subs, and maybe take some of the 'noise' showing on the outer fringes down a bit.

Bit of a balancing act really, as too long an exposure 'bloats' the core too much, so the same exposure but a lot more subs, may well do the job.

That's the trouble with this imaging game, we are never satisfied :?
