Hi everyone, 

                  Just a quick message to say hi to everyone in the SGL, I have been interested in astronomy and photography for a little while now and would love to pursue astrophotography as a hobby.

I am looking forward to reading posts and getting to know people of the same interest

Hi Steve, welcome to SGL.   Lots of good stuff here, or not too far away is http://www.cpac.org.uk/

Apart from our weekly Wednesday meetings, we will be there on Saturday 12th July as part of Daws Heath village fair,

for (hopefully) solar observing, and there's usually a display of member's astro images.

Also there's our public observing event (different venue) on Sat Nov 29th, details in the link.
