At the time I had a look at it, a few years ago now, the owner also had an Astro Physics 6" triplet apo and a Vixen 150mm F/9 doublet ED lined up alongside it. My jaw really dropped when I saw that little lot

It will need a very substantial mount though.

I wonder if an SGL member managed to get it ?.

I actually thought that it may have been you that bought it. Maybe to use as a finder for your 6".

An original D&G 5" F/15 refractor optical tube. Barely used since purchased new I reckon. The seller wanted £550 for it.

Wasn't me, I already have a 5" F15 triplet. Needs quite a mount!
