jgs001
Gary, That's a really nice looking piece of gear you got there. For what it's worth, that cloud has got all the way down to the south coast
barkis
Super looking job. Looks as though it is straining at the leash, just waiting for a good sky. I think you will get a lot of great planetary views via this baby Gary. Ron.
GazOC
Nice scope, I've got its 'big brother' and love it. If you're looking for something to do while the clouds are about (and you don't already have one) then a dew shield is essential for those scopes. Thanks for the tip, I'm off to my local camping shop tomorow to get one of those mat thingys to make one for myself. Cant wait to get a look through it though.....................Gary

The Warthog
That's a lovely piece of kit! Is that the EQ3-2 with SynScan or what is the coiled cable going up to the mount?
gary1968
That's a lovely piece of kit! Is that the EQ3-2 with SynScan or what is the coiled cable going up to the mount? Hi WH, the mount is a CG5GT, or you might know it better as an ASGT. Its been a good mount for the C8N that it came with. I'm hoping that with the Mak it'll be every bit as good, if not better as the Mak OTA is a good bit smaller.I'll post a first light report as soon as the ever leave......... philsail1
Corrr Gary, that's one nice looking instrument! I have the basic 90mm Skywatcher Mak and it performs very well for it's size. Your 150mm will be a cracking scope with awsome views!Good one!Regards,philsail1
A McEwan
Superb! I love my (second) 127 Mak so am slightly envious... I am glad you do not live up here in the highlands. Purchasing something like that up here would give us cloud until the daylight nights of summer and beyond...AM
