Looks like it may still be a fair night tonight and hoping for a little Mars and possibly Saturn later on - but for the time being, here's my first run on Jupiter tonight:

RGB vs LRGB:

SW Exp 200P, QHY5L-IIM @ F19, WJ Derotation and quick Gimp PP.   Best 40% of 80s capture.    Had to switch back to the Baader x2.25 zoom barlow as insufficient infocus to bring the Rev x2.5 to focus beyond the filter wheel.

Sky still clear, so fingers crossed for later on :)

Thanks RAC and BB - We're certainly lucky with Jupiter in the Northern Hemisphere, though have had pretty torrid weather through opposition.   We have many years wait for decent elevations on Mars and Saturn.

Just shot 4 sequences on Mars at around 26deg elevation in reasonable seeing - holding out to catch a little bit of Saturn (currently around 16 deg), but peaking at 24deg if I can hold on until 03:45hrs!

Thanks Stuart, Angie, Richard and Todd - just want some really good seeing now!

Tried last night, but definitely not so good!       I also discovered that my transformer is generating a bit of a heat plume, that does at times effect the seeing - I shall re-route the power so that this is located further away from the mount.
