The temptation of a decent 12cm apo OTA at under a grand is somehow sooo much greater than when it was over a grand :D

It would have to be a one-scope solution for me tho ......

Does that price include the finder, tube rings etc. Steve ?.

This begs a question.

I saw the Equinox version albeit with a fully rotateable focuser but no eyepieces on sale for £1299. It says it uses the same glass as its predecessor.

As you can buy a rotateable focuser for the ED120 if you are unhappy with the Crayford it comes with for less than the difference in price, why buy an Equinox 120?

There must be a good reason, but I can't see it at the moment.

I've amended this because I see Steve does them for 50 quid less, but my point still stands.
