Just had a look on SDO to see what might be in store for tomorrow . . .

Not a lot to be seen on the image.

Assume it is a small bit of the sun and not a flare or prom in sight.

If you mean the 2 or 3 bursts that occurred a couple of days back I think they were forecast to miss us as they came out in the wrong direction to do much. Shame as they could have given some nice aurora.

You mean you can't see the very big sunspot appearing 2/3's of the way down . . . ?

That looks like a bit of a beast. Should be interesting to see it when it gets a bit further around our way. Forecast is for at least some clear sky here over the next couple of days. Missed by chance today thanks to being busy doing other stuff

Looking good Steve. Not a lot showing on Gong at the moment, there are quite a few proms in the upper edge, unless this image is inverted?

It will be interesting to see how it develops. Nowt but rain for me today, but some sun tomorrow and more for Monday.
