May 12, 2013: First H-alpha shots with B1200 blocking filter

Recommended Posts

I have just made a few captures in H-alpha through my LS35THa/B1200 combination, and I must say the gradients are much lower. Some massive proms visible. I have done rough and ready processing on the stacks and am quite pleased with the results. All images taken with the ASI130mm, captured with sharpcap, processed in Registax 6, except for the third, which was processed with Registax 5. That one was taken with a 2.5x TVPowerMate. Note that the brighter proms are readily visible in the exposure for surface details. I will do some better processing later.
