Saturn 22nd April 2013 - better seeing

Best seeing so far for my location. Still simmering under the jetstream though. Still can't complain for this altitude.

Processed in AS2, R6 and photoshop.

Excellent detail you've got there Peter and super smooth. If I was being super picky I'd say the cassini was a little thick?

Hi Stuart,Yes I would agree the Cassini div looks a tad thick. I think it is a consequence of the smoothing algorithm. I have been experimenting with surface smooth blur in Photoshop at low settings to get rid of the mottling with poor signal/noise. regards Peter

Yep its tough Peter I've been messing trying to reduce noise without losing too much detail. As you say the signal to noise ratio is against us at this low alt.

I have reporcess the image with less smoothing and using WinJupos to RRGB combine. Cassini division looks mor enormal now, so it must have been the smoothing that made it look too wide.
