I thoroughly enjoyed last night! I really should get a laser collimator, looks like it would save me quite a bit of time!

Shame we didn't get to see PANSTARRS. Maybe next time!

Hate to say this ant but half an hour after you went we all saw panstarrs. It's in casseopia, give it a try tonight you should be able to catch it from home.

A good night, with dry conditions (no dew) and a great turnout. It was nice to see old friends,

and get acquainted with fellow Observers new to the site

The weather doesn't look too bad for tonight so I'll go searching for it with my bins.

I managed a rather disappointing look at PANSTARRS last night with the dob. Viewing conditions were far from ideal, but it is still visible in Cassiopeia.

I think I have seen it just now! I went out with the bins and looked where Stellarium told me C/2011/L4 PANSTARRS should be and I could see a faint smudge, like a fuzzy star. My first comet!

Congrats, that's pretty impressive in binos considering how dim it is now. We just have to wait for ISON for a real show now!
