M33 LRGB 11th November

Recommended Posts

Great night last night - cloudy all day then the sky cleared magically just as it was getting dark. M33 is over to the east still in the early part of the night which is where most of my LP comes from so sub lengths were pretty limited.

ED80 with AP 0.67 reducer. SXV H9. About 80 x 2min CLS luminence. 60 Red and green 40 secs blue 56 secs. Colour binned 2x2. Got all set up tonight to get some Ha data but the weather did the reverse and after a beautiful clear day the clouds rolled in.

Captured and combined with Maxim. DDP and then 2 iterations of deconvolution in CCD sharp. Finished in PS. I'm very happy with it but do want to add some Ha.

The transfer to SGL has degraded it a fair bit :D

Superb image Martin, with the added Ha data it should be even more impressive.

Glad someone is getting clear nights.

M33 seems to be the 'flavour' of the month for SGL imagers at the moment. :D

Lovely wide-field shot of the Pin Wheel Martin.

Nicely captured, nicely processed, in fact just plain NICE!! :D

Thanks chaps. Don't know about a coffee table book Steve. Would that count as work related. Could I claim my astro gear as a work related expense :D

Gorgeous image, Martin - beautifully taken. This is not a particularly straightforward image to capture as the galaxy is quite diffused.
