First go at Timelapse sigma 30mm 1.4

Hi Folks,

I decided to a have a few bashes at time lapse before heading to the Isle of Sky in May where i'm going to have very dark skys but hopefully not due to cloud.

Sorry for the external link but i never manage to up load anything staright to my postings, maybe someone could explain.

This was taken with on:

Canon 550D

Astronomik cls clip

Sigma 30mm 1.4

Total of 236 x 13s with 8s intervals

Were you using a static tripod or a tracking mount? And what was your ISO setting?

I was just using a Hazel static tripod and it was taken at 800iso.

I processed it in cs6 and I may have optimised it for mac as it seems to look better on it that my work acer monitor.

Very nice, want to try a time lapse myself at some point.

I think you will be lucky to get dark skies from Skye in May, Twilight may be a problem.

Nice one - what were you using to control the shutter? I know the Canon EOS utility can do this, but I doubt I would have my laptop with me in the field.

Just used one of those "shoot" timers from amazon, I use the same one for imaging with the scope. Although I've just set up backyard eos on an old pc
